The start of semester is a busy time for everyone, but for students in their final years of study, it’s also the best time to start working towards graduation goals and applying for grad programs.

True employability extends beyond a formal qualification. Unfortunately, approximately 30% of students will not secure employment upon graduation. Enhancing employability and maximising career success involves understanding where to source opportunities, how to put forward a competitive job application and how to build meaningful experiences and networks that allow you to progress towards your career objectives.

This year’s event will see a diverse range of organisations visit Curtin Stadium (Bentley Campus) on March 6, 11am – 2pm to meet students face-to-face, promote opportunities and provide invaluable advice on graduate employment. In addition to this, Career Development Consultants will be available throughout the day to help give personalized advice on resumes and career direction and planning.

Whilst the event is particularly beneficial for final year students, we also greatly encourage all students to pop down. It’s never too early to start learning about your industry and building professional relationships.

In addition to the primary fair, specialist events are also taking place. Visit the Nursing, Midwifery & Paramedicine Careers Fair (Building 405, Bentley Campus) on February 27; or the WASM Careers Fair (Kalgoorlie Campus) on March 11 (specifically showcasing employers with graduate programs and graduate employment opportunities within the mining and resources sector).
