Finding Funding…

Working in creative industries means that at some point you may be able to apply for funding grants. The Australian Council for the Arts is the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body and they publish a printed guide each year on how to navigate the process.

It can also be beneficial to keep an eye on who has been successful in receiving funding in the recent past, check out Creative Partnerships Australia for this info. The Australia Cultural Fund also provides details of who in the private sector is supporting the arts and the creative organisations, projects and individuals that are being promoted for donations.

Government State Organisations also provide information on the grants that are available:

artsACT
Arts NSW
Arts NT
Arts Queensland
Arts SA
Arts Tasmania
Arts Victoria
Department of Culture and Arts WA
Department of Local Government and Communities Grants Directory
Regional Arts NSW

The Small Business Development Corporation exists to assist those in the small business sector to develop. They too provide information on how to locate the grants, assistance and funding programs most relevant to your business and a link to the Australian Government’s Grants and Assistance Finder.
