Graduate Gateway

Semester one is coming to an end and, for some of you, this also means the end of your study at Curtin before heading off into the wider world. If this includes you, you may wish to check out our employability prep series – Graduate Gateway.

Graduate Gateway is designed for soon-to-be Curtin grads who haven’t secured their first professional role yet. From 25 to 28 June you can have the opportunity to sharpen your professional skills including online and face-to-face networking, and job search strategies, resumes, cover letters, selection criteria, interviews, teamwork and conflict management.

The program comprises of a variety of topics each day. All workshops are free – attend them all, or pick and choose the ones that suit you. You just need to book into each workshop using the registration links in the schedule below.

Monday 25 June

12.30pm   Tips on working effectively in a team
2.15pm     Resumes and cover letters masterclass

Tuesday 26 June
10.15am   Making the most of LinkedIn
12.30pm  Stop googling, start networking
2.15pm    Techniques for interview success
4.00pm    Managing conflict constructively

Wednesday 27 June
10.15am   Resumes and cover letters masterclass
12.30pm   How to write competitive selection criteria responses
2.15pm     Boosting your professionalism 

Thursday 28 June
10.15am   Stop googling, start networking
12.30pm   Techniques for interview success
2.15pm     Managing conflict constructively
