As we settle in to the new year, we thought we could take a look back at a recent highlight from 2018…
Over 400 Curtin students gave up some of their time at the end of last semester to attend our Graduate Gateway workshops.
Graduate Gateway provides you with a chance to pull everything ‘job application wise’ together, especially if you’ve been too busy to get round to it during your studies. This includes those old chestnuts - creating resumes and cover letters, writing selection criteria, and preparing for interviews. Grad Gateway is a series of free workshops covering all of these aspects to job hunting.
Other workshops are also run to compliment these topics, taking self-assessment and developing confidence into consideration. After all, it’s a bit difficult to create job application documents and tap into hidden job markets if you can’t articulate your strengths or have the skills to develop solid networks.
Many of the students who attended were in their final semester – but this isn’t a prerequisite. Our aim is to give you the right tools for when it’s crunch time – when you’re seeking and applying for grad jobs.
Graduate Gateway runs at the end of each semester and is open to everybody. The sooner you get involved and take control of your future career – the better off you’ll be!
