It’s a varied program for day three of the Careers For Tomorrow Festival 2020, kicking off at 9.30am.

LANDING YOUR FIRST TEACHING JOB
Discover a rewarding career with the Department of Education. This session is designed for pre-service teachers completing their studies online and other applicants considering teaching opportunities in public education.
9:30am – 10:30am

GRADUATE PROGRAM APPLICATIONS & ASSESSMENT CENTRES
Looking to apply for a graduate program but not sure how to make your application stand out? Curious about assessment centres and how to make your mark? Attend this workshop with recruiters and successful graduates to learn more about the recruitment process in the Australian Public Service.
10am – 11am

WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP
Our leaders will share their career journeys, challenges faced along the way, and lessons learned. Panellists will describe how they support both women and men in their current roles, with the objective of lifting the bar on gender equality and inclusion in our organisation and industry.
11am – 12pm

INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVES PANEL
Join our panel members, all of who studied at Curtin as international students, for a conversation about how they secured employment in Australia after graduation.
12:30pm – 1:30pm

LINKING INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE WITH EMPLOYABILITY
Tune in to hear mobility expert Bec Stafford, careers expert Benazir Radmanesh, and Curtin alumni share tips and ideas on how you can apply your international experiences in a meaningful way as you prepare to enter the workforce.
1pm – 2pm

PATHWAYS TO PERMANENT RESIDENCY
In this changing migration landscape, it can be confusing for international students to understand the options available. This session, presented by experienced migration agent Esther Thurbin, looks at the recent changes which may assist international students.
1:30pm – 2:30pm

IS DOING A POSTGRADUATE DEGREE WORTH IT?
Designed for you to get valuable insights from alumni from various disciplines and industries, our panellists will share their perspectives on postgraduate degrees. Learn how these talented and highly skilled individuals have systematically leveraged their postgraduate qualifications in their work and career progression.
