Prepare for the Fair

The Curtin Careers Fair is on from 11am to 2pm Wednesday 17 March. We thought we’d provide you with some more info to help you make the most of this event…

For information on how to register and participate in this year’s Fair, check out Curtin Careers Fair 2021: How To

  • Register early – this gives you a chance to get organised
  • Check out who’s attending – you can search employers by name, types of roles available, industry, work rights and more
  • Visit an employer’s profile to see if they’re hosting groups chats/presentations as well as one-to-one chats
  • If an organisation interests you, click on the star next to their name – they’ll then appear at the top of your list

  • Set up somewhere quiet where you can hear and be heard
  • Use Chrome or Firefox – the virtual fair platform doesn’t support Internet Explorer
  • You can join multiple queues, but only participate in one chat at a time
  • There’s an approximate wait time, but this can change quickly
  • Have a couple of questions ready to go for each chat
  • Mute your microphone in group chats unless you’re speaking
  • Use the raise hand function if you would like to ask a question

Join our presentations to get to know the services our teams provide:

  • 11.30am: Recruit Curtin & Earn While You Learn – Student and graduate employment services
  • 12pm: Careers – Start building your future career today
  • 12.30pm: Curtin Extra – Get involved in co-curricular programs to receive your Curtin Extra Certificate
  • 1pm: Curtin Volunteers! – Translating your volunteer experience into your employability
