As a graduate in the Department of Defence, you will enjoy experiences that, as a civilian, you simply wouldn’t find with any other organisation. You will work with a diverse group of women and men who are dedicated to protecting Australian interests. You will carry out work that has true purpose.
We are seeking graduates from all university degree disciplines for work across four graduate program career pathways. Choose your career path in engineering, intelligence, policy, science, ICT, finance, project management or corporate functions and make a difference to Australia and our national interests.
The Capability Pathway offers the Maritime Engineering and Naval Construction job Stream, providing Engineering graduates with exciting opportunities to work on the most significant regeneration of Australia’s naval capability since World War Two. This will involve the design, development, build, integration and sustainment of 12 submarines and nine anti-submarine Frigates. You will have the opportunity to undertake three six-month work placements at various locations around Australia (including Adelaide and Perth) and may include opportunities in France.
