So, where you going next?
What makes us different
We’re so much more than accountants: Operations, R&D, Software Development, Cyber Security, Web Design, UX, Real Estate Advisory, Risk Assurance, People & Change, Mergers & Acquisitions, Economics & Policy, Strategy Consulting, Performance & Remuneration, Analytics, Data Modelling and Project Management are all teams at PwC – just to name a few.
New offices and ways of working: We’ve got state of the art offices and new ways of working to ensure we are innovative, creative and can work collaboratively with our teams and clients to solve important problems. Whether you’re having meetings on treadmills, trying out our stand up desks, connecting with a client in Singapore using Google Hangouts or playing with lego on your brain break, you’ll completely challenge and change the way you work, for the better.
Tech focused:Technology has disrupted the way we approach business. From Artificial intelligence to Augmented Reality, Blockchain to drones, robots to the Internet of Things, and 3D printing to Virtual Reality, we’re on top of the megatrends. And with new technologies emerging constantly, we’re helping our clients transform the way they use technology to create an even greater advantage for their organisations.
The tech teams at PwC are as varied as they are unique. We work at the intersection of business and data-manipulation in Risk Assurance and Insight Analytics, creating and delivering the end-to-end UX for companies of tomorrow in The Experience Centre. Our Cyber Security team employs offensive security techniques to identify vulnerabilities in client systems, and we develop market-leading technologies and solutions for PwC’s workforce in AUiT and EPS.
We actively look for people with skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). But more than this, we’re searching for individuals who are ready to challenge the status quo and create the future of business.
No dress code: You might be surprised to know our people do rock up to work in casual dress, yep, no dress code here! At PwC it is all about trust. We “dress for our day” and wear what is best for the work we do with both our clients and our teams.
Flexible work culture: Whether you work from the office, from home or from a cafe, our All Roles Flex policy is in place to help you work smarter and in a way that suits your lifestyle! We believe that by allowing people the flexibility to structure work around their lives (and not the other way around) they will be happier and more engaged long term. We trust people will make the right decision for themselves, their clients, and their teams about how, where and when they work.
Support and development:As someone new to the firm you’ll have access to a myriad of learning opportunities, including on-the-job training, support from a dedicated coach, access to further education like the CA Program, internal development programs, and study and exam leave should you wish to pursue other qualifications. You will also gain access to our very own Learning Hub where you can take up training to help you acquire new skills. With a genuine support structure around you, you will certainly feel comfortable to be yourself and perform your best from day one.
Additional perks: We know things like birthday leave, the ability to purchase up to an additional 12 weeks of annual leave, 18 weeks paid parental leave and $295 to spend on wellness activities each year, makes working with us more enjoyable. We get it. Living your life to the fullest is just as important as investing in your career, that’s why we help our people achieve both! Did we mention the free coffee? Yes, most of our offices have baristas on hand!
- Act with integrity

What’s important to us
Diversity & Inclusion: At PwC we foster an inclusive culture which embraces differences – one that allows us to live our values every day, be ourselves and to feel empowered to realise and discover our potential. Because we know that when people from different backgrounds and different points of view work together they create the greatest value – for our business, our clients and society. We’re proud of our employee-led diversity networks that promote cultural, disability, LGBTI and gender equality. We aim to create a shared environment that challenges the status quo and sees difference as strength, ensuring you feel comfortable to not only be yourself, but to be heard.
Did you know PwC Australia’s Luke Sayers was named CEO of the Year for diversity and inclusion at the Pride In Diversity Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) awards? And that PwC is the only employer to be twice named Australia’s top LGBTI employer??
Creating equal opportunities for women: We do awesome groundbreaking research on how employers can support women in the workplace. But it doesn’t stop there. We walk the talk. We have some of the market leading policies around maternity leave and flexible work options in place. Plus, we always aim to ensure our graduate intake is 50% female! We have some incredible women in leadership roles who have worked with the UN and the government influencing legislation around domestic violence policies. PwC is a WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality and Employer of Choice for Gender Equality Citations from WGEA.
A Certified Indigenous business: We’re a certified Indigenous business and acknowledging the traditional custodians of the lands, where we live and work is always at the forefront of our minds. We’re committed to our own unique Reconciliation Action Plan, outlining alliances to the Indigenous community and our actions as a firm to ensure positive change.
Another milestone the PwC community is proud of is the launch of PwC’s Indigenous Consulting (PIC), in 2013. PIC is a separate member firm in the PwC global network which maintains an Indigenous majority owned, managed and 60% staffed operation. PIC’s vision is to improve the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and support self-determination through empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander led models and solutions.
Passion meets purpose: We all want to engage in work that fulfils us with a sense of purpose. We believe that everything we do must be driven by our human spirit – our collective creativity, authenticity and difference. This is why we’ve fostered an environment that encourages you to be yourself and tap into what makes you tick. We aim to align you with projects you are interested in and help bring out your strengths for the greater good.
Making an impact: PwC has a dedicated team driving firm wide Corporate Responsibility initiatives and we encourage our people to lend their time and skills to activities such as volunteering, mentoring and non-profit engagements. Every employee is granted one day of volunteer leave per year, with flexibility for additional leave when applying their business skills.
Hiring from all degree backgrounds: We hire people from all degrees, including science, technology, engineering, maths, medicine, arts, business, communications, psychology, and law – just to name of few. The type of work we do is so diverse, but what binds us together is creative problem solving. It is all about how you approach a problem and how you collaborate with your team members to solve it. We will skill you up, no matter what business area you join.
