Wesfarmers Chemicals Energy & Fertilisers’ (WesCEF) operates a portfolio of leading, sustainable businesses in national and international markets and is part of Australia’s largest listed company, Wesfarmers.

Through our vacation work programme you will deliver concrete project outcomes and receive hands-on operational experience at CSBP and Kleenheat production facilities in Kwinana (engineering), Head Office in Murdoch (commercial, data science, business development, and cyber security), or our commercial laboratory and rural locations (agriculture).

We continue to seek high calibre talent, and offer unique opportunities to apply and grow your technical expertise, collaborate and build your leadership capability.

Our program provides you with an opportunity to:

  • Apply your theoretical learnings from university to real projects
  • Work closely with a mentor who will guide and assist you during the 12 week program
  • Be assigned a project that is meaningful and current, as well as have the opportunity to present your outcomes to our leadership team
  • Develop skills for future employment, including leadership, communication, presentation and influencing skills

“WesCEF’s program builds on the framework we receive at University, and taught me how to manage real problem solving situations. The project I completed was critical to the Fertilisers business – ensuring operations remain safe and sustainable, and a safe work environment for every person walking into one of the Fertiliser plants.” Jessica Edward - Vacation Engineer, Mechanical with CSBP Fertilisers, 2020-2021

High performing students may be offered a cadetship with WesCEF which provides financial support and casual employment through the final year of university and a pathway to our graduate program.

Recognised as a safe, reliable and innovative industry leader, we offer an inclusive work environment that celebrates diversity and the uniqueness of individual talents, experiences and ideas.

Sustainable operation is an integral part of our business and we recognise continual improvement is an ongoing journey. Leadership in sustainability means achieving across all elements of our business performance, including risk management, environmental and safety performance, and our commitment to our people and the community.

More information about our commitment to sustainable operation can be found in the Wesfarmers Sustainability reports.
